Cheniere Marketing, Inc. Files Application for Authorization to Export LNG

The Office of Fossil Energy gives notice of receipt of a blanket application filed on August 15, 2008 by Cheniere Marketing, Inc. (CMI) to export on a short-term or spot market basis up to 64 Bcf of previously imported LNG cumulatively over a two-year period from the United States to the following international destinations: the United Kingdom, France, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Turkey, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, India, Dominican Republic and Chile. CMI also anticipates potentially loading LNG for delivery to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, a territory of the United States. Environmental Assessment (EA) issued by FERC February 2009. Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) issued by DOE June 5, 2009. Order 2651 granting authorization to export liquefied natural gas issued June 8, 2009. Cheniere Marketing, Inc. submitted a name change request on June 19, 2009. Order 2651-A issued reflecting name change to Cheniere Marketing, LLC on July 31, 2009.
